Minister of State and TD for Longford Westmeath Robert Troy is calling on community development organisations working to address inequality to apply for the newly announced Community Development Pilot Projects Grant of €1million.
Minister Troy stated “The call invites expressions of interest from community development organisations working to address issues in areas such as racism, domestic or sexual violence, migration, gender, people living in direct provision or seeking international protection, climate action and just transition.
“Community Organisations are best placed to develop solutions and pathways to counter these issues in their localities. Community led projects always have the highest success rate and can achieve significant social challenges.
“There is €1million in grants available for eight organisations nationwide. The programme is open for applications now and will close shortly on 31st of March 2021. I would encourage local community groups to submit their application as soon as possible” concluded Minister Troy.
