€841,939 in funding for Longford-Westmeath Youth Services

Minister for Trade Promotion and Fianna Fáil TD for Longford-Westmeath, Robert Troy, welcomed the announcement that €841,939 in funding has been made available to support the provision of youth services in Longford-Westmeath in 2021. This investment increases financial support for both youth services and youth clubs, as well as ensuring further strengthening and development of UBU Your Place Your Space, universal service provision and youth information.

Welcoming the announcement, Minister Troy said, “Our youth services provide invaluable support for our young people and the announcement of increased funding today for Longford-Westmeath youth groups and services is very welcome. In what has been an extraordinary year, these groups have demonstrated passion and determination at every level of the youth sector to respond to a wide range of challenges, not least of which is supporting our young people through the COVID-19 pandemic. I will continue to work with local groups and my government colleagues to ensure our youth are supported as much as possible in the road ahead.”
