Robert Troy contributes in Dail debate for Small businesses in July’s Stimulus package. He also calls for Wage Subsidy Scheme to continue for months and to extend to others that currently cannot avail of it, such as seasonal workers.
Robert also questions the criteria for the Restart Grant and expresses his view about them being restrictive. They take no account of costs associated with re-opening business.
Robert calls for assistance in providing liquidity for businesses and to ensure it is provided at favorable interest rates.
He also raised the issue of Commercial leases and how developing a code of conduct to protect businesses is badly needed.
Robert calls for urgent action in dealing with Insurance companies, in particular relating to enforcement by Central Bank. He does not believe customers should have to go through courts to deal with Insurance claims.
