Climate Action Plan offers nothing new to deliver sustainable transport network

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Transport, Robert Troy, has said that the Government’s Climate Action Plan does not offer any new public transport initiatives and lacks substance.

He commented, “This plan is just a re-announcement of what we already knew. The Government has already announced that they won’t be purchasing any more diesel-only buses. FF publishes scooter safety bill

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Transport, Tourism and Sport, Robert Troy TD, has published legislation to set legal parameters for the safe use of e-scooters. The Bill removes the requirement for e-scooters and e-bikes to be taxed and insured by altering the definition of mechanically propelled vehicles.   Deputy Troy said, “Whereas some politicians have done photo ops and have talked about the need for regulations, they have yet to table any legislation which would clear up the uncertainty surrounding the use of e-scooters.
