Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Transport, Tourism and Sport, Deputy Robert Troy has said that the Chief Executive of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), John Delaney must be prepared to answer questions on the €100,000 bridging loan he gave the FAI.
Deputy Troy was commenting after it emerged that Mr Delaney had provided the FAI with a €100,000 cheque in April 2017. A statement issued by the FAI said that the loan was required to aid cash flow on that occasion and was repaid in full.
