Meeting with British MPs highlights importance of trade

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Business, Enterprise, and Innovation, Robert Troy TD, has met with British MPs Sir Henry Bellingham and Chris Grayling, to discuss trade links between Ireland and the UK in the context of Brexit.

Deputy Troy and Wexford TD, James Browne also discussed the ownership of Rosslare Europort, which has been a cause of concern for some time. Rosslare Europort was established under the Rosslare Fishguard Harbours Company in 1898 by UK statutory instrument and as such only the UK can amend that.

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Transport, Tourism and Sport Robert Troy TD has warned that the tourism industry is facing a monumental challenge as Brexit approaches. Deputy Troy made the comments after hosting a roundtable conference on tourism earlier today at the Titanic Hotel in Belfast.
